The Ju-Jitsuka is, at all times, expected to conduct his/herself in such a manner so as not to reflect adversely on South Africa, the South African Ju-Jitsu Council, or the Martial Art of Ju-Jitsu.
This would require strict adherence to the laws and mores of moral behaviour of South Africa and any other country to which the Ju-Jitsuka may be a visitor, especially when as a representative of South Africa individually, or as a member of a team or group.
Further, the Ju-Jitsuka should at all times behave in an ethical manner and with decorum and respect toward all, especially those in a position of seniority, whether of grade, age or function.
The ultimate aim of this code, therefore, is that all Ju-Jitsuka should behave in such a manner so as to enhance the images of South Africa and the martial art of Ju-Jitsu both locally and abroad, and not to bring either into disrepute, cause dissention or disruption, and perform all prescribed duties timeously and to the best of their ability.
