APPENDIX C – STANDARDS AND CONDITIONS FOR COLOURS (Dress Code)

1. NATIONAL COLOURS

1.1 National colours can only be awarded by the National Colours Board of the National Sports Council. Requests, recommendations and motivations for colours for Ju-Jitsu shall be made by the SAJJC through the Japanese Martial Arts Authority to the Martial Arts Authority, who forwards them to the Colours Board.
1.2 The formal dress colours for all Ju-Jitsuka including coaches and managers shall be the approved National emblem, underworded with “Ju-Jitsu” on a National blazer, with a white shirt, official national tie and accompanying long gray trousers for men, and a gray skirt or trousers for women. Black or brown shoes may be worn.
1.3 At the discretion of the Team Executive (i.e. Manager, Coach & Captain), the officially sanctioned National tracksuit, with approved National insignia may be worn at certain times.
1.4 Although a member may be eligible for these colours, the Executive Board may refuse to recommend the award of the colours, or withdraw previously awarded colours, if the member is deemed to be unworthy of the colours for any reason. (Refer Appendix D).

2. S.A. JU-JITSU COUNCIL COLOURS

2.1 S.A.Ju-Jitsu Council Colours may be awarded only by the National Executive Board based on the criteria indicated in Appendix B.
2.2 The colours for all Ju-Jitsuka including coaches and managers shall be the braided SAJJC emblem, on a designated blazer, with a white shirt, official SAJJC tie and accompanying long gray trousers for men, and a gray skirt or trousers for women.
2.3 At the discretion of the Team Executive (i.e. Manager, Coach & Captain), the officially sanctioned Council tracksuit, with approved Council insignia may be worn at certain times.
2.4 Although a member may be eligible for these colours, the Executive Board may refuse to award the colours, or withdraw previously awarded colours, if the member is deemed to be unworthy of the colours for any reason. (Refer Appendix D).

3. PROVINCIAL COLOURS

3.1 Provincial Colours may be awarded only by the National Executive Board based on the criteria indicated in Appendix B.
3.2 The colours for all Ju-Jitsuka including coaches and managers shall be the approved Provincial emblem, on a Provincial blazer, with a white shirt, official Provincial tie and accompanying long gray trousers for men, and a gray skirt or trousers for women.
3.3 At the discretion of the Team Executive (i.e. Manager, Coach & Captain), the officially sanctioned Provincial tracksuit, with approved Provincial insignia may be worn at certain times.
3.4 Although a member may be eligible for these colours, the Executive Board may refuse to award the colours, or withdraw previously awarded colours, if the member is deemed to be unworthy of the colours for any reason. (Refer Appendix D).
